Hello! My name is Blake Shorter. I’m from a small, one-stoplight town in Central Virginia and I have two wonderful children who are five and eight years old! 

 

After almost ten years of experience investing in real estate, I decided to earn my Real Estate license.  I started by purchasing my first house, which was a fixer-upper that taught me so much about working on houses. That experience led me to develop a passion for helping transform a house into a home! 

 

From there I bought some land and was my own contractor for my very first house-building project.  Combined with my previous experience, this project inspired me to start purchasing and remodeling properties to either sell or rent out. So, whether I'm managing a home-building project, crawling under a 100-year-old house doing electrical or plumbing repair, installing a new roof, or completely gutting a house for a remodel, I always keep in mind what the residents would want or need.

The Lynchburg area has always been home to me. I grew up in a small town that gave me an appreciation for the importance of close-knit communities. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family! We love the outdoors, going on hikes, and to amusement parks.

In January 2010, I started a mobile tire business in the Lynchburg

region as well. It is still continuing to grow thanks to the constant

support of my customers in the local area. I am grateful for the

numerous opportunities I have to serve my community and aim to

help my clients become a part of it as well.
